Emergency Connectivity Fund – Third Filing Window Announced

April 10, 2022

The FCC announced on March 23, 2022 that it is opening a third application filing window to award at least $1 billion in Emergency Connectivity Fund support. The third application filing window will open on April 28, 2022 and close on May 13, 2022.

During this third application filing window, eligible schools and libraries can submit requests for funding to purchase eligible equipment and services between July 1, 2022, and December 31, 2023. Given past demand, the third application filing window will likely be the last opportunity for schools and libraries to request funding before the remaining Emergency Connectivity Funds are exhausted.

Eligible services and equipment include Laptops & Chromebooks (maximum $400 each), Wi-Fi Hotspots (maximum $250 each) and Internet Bandwidth for remote learning. No duplication with other emergency funding sources will be allowed. Applicants will be required to certify that the device or service serves an “Unmet Need” for students, staff, or patrons.

Your E-RATE ONLINE Account manager will reach out in the next few weeks as more information becomes available to discuss your need.
